Editor’s Note #12

A giggle of girls. That’s what they call a group of girls. Did you know that?

Never have I truly understood the significance of fifth grade grammar until very recently. You see, collective nouns always seemed interesting ( a pride of lions, a school of fish) but their point completely deserted me. Until Pearl came, replacing all reason and sanity.

Calendars have been marked for makeovers, shopping trips have been scheduled, and laughs have been exchanged on how great Pearl is going to be this time. Giggle. Laugh. Break a leg on it.
The guys, they’re no less. Plans have been made for do-overs (gon’ date that sexy NIFT chick this time!), handshakes have been exchanged under the table, over dealings that aren’t always in the best interests of gentlemen and fair women. Prom is back this time, dropping a bomb on those who can see who the sex-ratio is working against. The clubs and departments are working within an inch of their lives to make this Pearl extra special.
Aaand, here’s our two cents.

This issue is dedicated to the spirit of Pearl and so, we present to you, Issue 12: Impressions. We draw inspiration from everything y’all love- pop culture (HoC, Gone Girl, 2000s Bollywood Movies) and the Pearl Theme, and paint our impression of it. We’re back on schedule.

You will find newer articles on 7th and 22nd of every month. You can find a tab at the top right corner (“Wave, Say Hi!”). Here, you can tell us what you think about us, what you’re looking for, and we’ll patiently listen to you, because, at TDB, everyone loves a happy reader!

The Editor.
